Twitter real-time dashboard for Madrid protest

I have created this dashboard to track the real time tweeting from Madrid. Spaniards are heavy mobile phone users and love Twitter, and the protests are always accompanies by lots of activity on twitter. Look for scores over 98 too indicate the presence of crowds in the thousands in an area.  98 is over 300 geo-tagged tweets an hour.  As less than 5% of tweets have any geo-tagged data, and a considerable amount of that is inaccurate, you can assume that a there are 20 times as many tweets being made per hour as picked up by this tool.

Los españoles son fuertes usuarios de teléfonos móviles y el amor Twitter, y las protestas son siempre acompaña por un montón de actividad en twitter. Neptuno is a very common place for protester to tweet from.

On the 27 of October 2012 we say very high levels of tweeting near the Parliament. over 1000 an hour a one point.

The present score for twitter traffic in Madrid, Puerta del Sol.  Geotagged scores from twitter included RTs, so a part of this is the global response to protests, with people retweeting messages sent from the site.

This score from Calle del Alcala shows a location just outside of the protest area and provides a baseline for Madrid overall tweeting.
